Mental Health Awareness Workshop for Parents Monday, October 6, at 9:30 AM - In-person.

We invite all parents to our Mental Health Awareness Workshop. This workshop will help you understand and support mental health issues.

Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration Monday, October 6, from 2:20–3:15 PM in the School Gym

We are excited to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with our PS2 family! This event will feature delicious foods and treats that reflect our community's vibrant cultures. If you would like to donate, please:

Your contributions are greatly appreciated and help make this celebration special. Thank you for sharing your culture and spirit with our school community.

We are excited to launch our 5th Grade Graduation Committee!
Our first meeting will be Monday, September 29, 2025, at 7:30 AM in Room 327 (PS2).

We need volunteers to help plan senior activities such as fundraising, trips, the yearbook, and of course, the graduation ceremony. At this meeting, we’ll also vote on committee positions: President, Treasurer, and Recording Secretary.



If you’re interested in a position, you may nominate yourself during the meeting.

This is a friendly reminder that Back to School Night will be tomorrow, Wednesday, starting at 3:30pm with the Principals and teachers from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.

We look forward to welcoming all parents and guardians for an engaging evening of connection and learning.

Please note: There will be NO HANAC tomorrow, September 17, due to Back to School Night.

Please be sure to review the attached information and complete your child’s application as soon as possible if you have not yet applied. As a reminder, enrollment is not automatic each year—families must reapply for the program.

We hope you had a joyful and restful summer! As we gear up for another exciting school year, we’re thrilled to welcome you back to PS2. Tomorrow marks the first day of school, and we can’t wait to see all of our wonderful students walk through the doors, ready to learn, grow, and thrive. The school day begins at 8:00 sharp! (Breakfast at 7:30). Don't forget your colored ticket tomorrow.

🌟 Attendance Superheroes Unite! Our first attendance tracking period runs from September 4 through October 31. We’re encouraging every student to come to school every day and show us they’ve got what it takes to be an Attendance Superhero! Students with perfect attendance during this period will be invited to an EPIC Superhero Party in November to celebrate their commitment and superpowers of showing up!
